Directors
Steve Thiele
Steve is the Managing Director of Crosby Dalwood Pty Ltd. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has a Bachelor of Economics (Majoring in Accountancy). He has many years' experience in the provision of financial/accounting/taxation advice.
Steve enjoys "armchair sports", in particular, Formula 1, AFL and test cricket. Organic gardening and spending time with his family are also important. Other interests include preparing and consuming spicy food, and a love of red wine. Steve loves motoring, and has a red Subaru WRX and also a blue convertible for sunny days.
Sam Crawford
Sam is a Director of Crosby Dalwood Pty Ltd and has been with the firm since March 1998.
Prior to joining Crosby Dalwood, Sam worked for RJC Evans & Co in Adelaide before spending a year in Europe and Turkey on a 'Working Holiday'. In 1994, he and his wife Skye moved to Whyanbeel Valley near Mossman in far North Queensland where Sam worked with Cockrell Reece & Co for 3 ½ years.
He has a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from the University of SA, is a Certified Practising Accountant and an Affiliate of The Institute of Chartered Accountants.
He enjoys travel, camping and most sports including football, cricket, tennis and golf and loves spending time with his wife, two daughters and son on their property in the Adelaide Hills where they live.
Helga Baxter
Helga is a Financial Adviser with over 20 years experience in the financial services industry. Helga is a Director of Crosby Dalwood Pty Ltd and has been with the firm since September 1995.
Helga became an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants in 1997. She is a Certified Financial Planner through the Financial Planning Association of Australia, member of the MFAA and an Affiliate of the ICAA.
Passionate about her role she suitably won Count Financial Limited's inaugral Female Adviser of the Year in 2009.
She enjoys spending time with her family, football (especially supporting Port Power), holidaying, reading, walking, socialising and overall believes that life should be fun.
Colin Bishop
Colin graduated as an Accountant in 1976 and after spending 13 years in Commerce, commenced his own Accounting practice of Bishop & Bishop in 1984.
In 1991 Colin became an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants, adding Financial Planning as a core discipline to the practice & renaming the practice Bishop & Bishop Financial Services.
Colin merged his practice with Crosby Dalwood Pty Ltd in December 2010. He is currently a Principal at Crosby Dalwood and advises on Financial Planning and Taxation matters.
Colin is currently a member of: Fellow of the National Public Accountants, Fellow of Taxation Institute of Australia, Fellow of the National Tax & Accountants Association, Registered Tax Agent, Affiliate of the Chartered Accountants Institute of Australia, Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants, Member of the Financial Planning Association, Member of SMSF Professional Association of Australia
Emma Griffin
She is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has degrees in Economics and Law from the University of Adelaide. Reflecting her long standing interest in investment, across the years Emma has also completed the Graduate Diploma in Securities and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and passed the Chartered Financial Analyst exams.
For 13 years Emma worked in corporate banking and insolvency for Coopers & Lybrand, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and most recently Bangkok Bank in Thailand after the Asian financial crisis.
After returning to live in Adelaide she changed careers and has been working in public practice since 2006. Emma joined Crosby Dalwood in October 2008.
Emma enjoys working in her Adelaide Hills garden, renovating, cooking, walking her dogs and reading.
Administrators
Heidi Leaver
Heidi started working at Crosby Dalwood in August 2003 as a Financial Planning Assistant. In June 2009 she commenced her role as the Office Manager.
Heidi has a Diploma in Financial Services and over 12 years experience in Personal Finance and the Financial Services Industry. In July 2011, she commenced a Bachelor of Management and Marketing with the University of South Australia.
Heidi enjoys climbing Mount Lofty, staying fit, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
Annetté Riemann
Annetté joined Crosby Dalwood in January 2008 after travelling through Europe & living in London.
She is currently undertaking a Certificate III in Financial Services and has over 7 years experience in the Accounting, Financial Planning & Stockbroking Industries.
Annetté enjoys collecting art, interacting with new cultures when travelling, bushwalking & anything to do with the great outdoors. She is a member of Australian Dance Theatre & Adelaide Festival Centre and has a passion for theatre and the arts where she volunteers for events like the Fringe.
Amy Hart
Amy has completed a Certificate III in Business Administration in 2010 and has recently commenced a Diploma in Business Administration.
In her spare time Amy enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling and watching movies.
Daniella Blundell
Prior to joining Crosby Dalwood in January 2011, Dani worked as an Information Officer at WorkCover SA for 3 years and previously operated a small family business for 10 years.
Dani intends to study Accountancy and have a career as an accountant.
During her spare time, Dani enjoys spending time with family, taking walks along the beach, listening to music and going to the football.
Paddy Donovan

Linda Gabell
After working in retail for 6 years, Linda was a stay at home Mum for 10 years and has recently returned to the workforce part time. She manages her sons basketball team, and is her daughters playgroup coordinator, both of which she finds very rewarding. Aside from work Linda enjoys bush walking, renovating, gardening and spending time with her family.

Alex Gray
Alex joined Crosby Dalwood in February 1999. He specialises in individual income tax returns, fringe benefits tax and the internal administration of the firm.
Alex previously had 25 years experience in the Australian Taxation Office in a wide variety of roles.
His outside interests include golf, other sports, reading, wining and dining.
Maria Alviar-Laroza
Maria joined Crosby Dalwood in December 2005. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (majoring in Accountancy). She passed the CPA board examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission Board in the Philippines and is a member of the Philippine Institute of CPA's.
She previously worked with a Chartered Accounting firm at North Adelaide and, prior to that, in the commerce industry.
Before migrating with her family to Australia in October 1992, Maria worked for the Canadian International Development Agency as the Corporate Accountant. She has extensive experience in accounting, auditing and Australian taxation rules and regulations.
Maria enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, cooking and is actively involved in her children's school and the local church.
Cathy Bull
Cathy joined Crosby Dalwood in November 2006 after moving back to Adelaide from Melbourne where she and her family had lived for 8 years.
Cathy has had over 20 years experience working for various firms in the Tax and Accounting industry. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from the University of South Australia and is a member of CPA Australia.
In her spare time she enjoys swimming, dining out and spending time with her husband and two young children.
Irene Vatovec
Irene is Member of the National Institute of Accountants. She has a Graduate Certificate of Chartered Accounting Foundations from Deakin University, Graduate Certificate of Business (Accountancy) from the University of SA and Certificate III in Financial Services from TAFE. She has been in Public Practice since 2000.
Before a career change to public practice accounting, she previously worked as a Medical Research Scientist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and as a Research Analyst for a global Market Research agency. Additionally, she has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of SA.
Irene joined Crosby Dalwood in February 2007.
In her free time, Irene enjoys being with her family and their dog, friends, dressmaking, doing intricate needlework, reading, and gardening.
Elena Yeow
Elena joined Crosby Dalwood in November 2008.
She completed a Graduate Diploma in Business (Accountancy) and Masters of Business Administration (Finance) at the University of South Australia in December 2008 and September 2005 respectively. She has a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) majoring in Business Administration from the University of Malaya, Malaysia and has commenced the CA program.
Elena has 8 years experience in the banking industry in Malaysia specialising in Trade Finance and Credit Operations and 2 years experience in the education industry. She also worked as a casual tutor for the University of South Australia in 2008.
In her spare time, Elena enjoys reading, travelling, line dancing and sewing.
Sandy Wong
Sandy has been working in public practice since 2006 and has previously worked as a Commercial Accountant in various industries overseas.
She has a Bachelor of Arts (Accounting) from University of South Australia and is a member of CPA Australia.
Sandy joined Crosby Dalwood in October 2010 and likes to travel, enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Frank Perrott
Frank has worked as an accountant since he was 24 years of age.
He has recently taken up Night Owl Bowls and enjoys watching tennis and football. Family orientated, Frank loves spending time with his children .
Doug Robins
Doug joined Crosby Dalwood in 2010 having worked in public practice since 2007 after completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Adelaide.
He is currently enrolled in the Chartered Accountants program having completed the taxation and management modules.
Doug enjoys fine dining, recreational time with friends, martial arts and travelling to see new places.
Financial Planning Support Staff
Gennaro Zerella
Gennaro has a Bachelor of Economics, a Diploma of Financial Planning and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration. He previously worked with the Commonwealth Bank for 2 years.
Gennaro joined Crosby Dalwood in November 2007 with aspirations of becoming a financial adviser. Becoming an Authorised Representative in 2010 he is realising this dream.
Gennaro loves playing golf, spending time with family and friends, good food and wine. He enjoys camping, the great outdoors and watching the Crows AFL team.
Trudy Oakes
Trudy completed her Diploma of Financial Planning and has worked in various roles within the financial planning industry over the last 20 years. Trudy attained her Authorised Representative status in 2005.
In her spare time Trudy enjoys spending time with her husband and three young boys.
Rhiannon Owen
Rhiannon started working at Crosby Dalwood in December 2002 as a Receptionist, and now works in the Financial Planning Team as a Paraplanner.
Rhiannon has completed her Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) through FINSIA.
In her spare time she enjoys Pilates, Kick Boxing and spending time with her family and friends.
Kathryn Cain
Kathryn completed a Bachelor of Business (Commercial Law) from the University of South Australia in 2006 and is working towards a Diploma in Financial Services.
Kathryn has worked in the financial services industry for 5 years. She currently works in a client service / paraplanner role.
Enjoying the simple things, Kathryn likes spending time with family, reading, watching V8's, listening to good music and attending as many concerts as possible.
Calvin Ho
Calvin has a Bachelor of Banking & International Finance from Flinders University and has completed a Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning.
With previous roles at BT Financial Services, Calvin joined the team in February 2010 with a wealth of knowledge which has seen him progress quickly into a paraplanning position.
Calvin's main interests include motorsports, in particular Formula 1, Soccer and Cue sports. He also enjoys the movies, dining and socialising.
Samantha Camac

Samuel Taylor
Sam completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Finance) from the University of Adelaide in 2011 while working in a casual administration role at ipac South Australia. Sam plans to commence his Diploma of Financial Planning in the near future as he wants to further his career within the financial planning industry. In his time away from work Sam likes to play cricket, football and overall lead an active lifestyle.

Tony Sander
Tony joined Crosby Dalwood in November 2011 and brings over 14 years of Banking & Financial Services experience to the Business Finance and Mortgage Administrator role, including extensive experience in Residential and Commercial Lending. He has a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and is currently studying his Diploma of Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management). Outside of work, Tony has diverse interests including gardening, cooking, reading non-fiction and spending time with his family.
